What is mobile phone battery replacement?

Phone batteries are a consumable component of all mobile phones. Like all other rechargeable batteries they have a limited life and will often degrade over 2-3 years or after 500 full charge cycles.

Why has my phone battery died?

Phone batteries just like your other rechargeable batteries have a limited life. On average phone batteries are designed to last around 2-3 years or 500 full charges. A quick battery replacement will get your device running like new again.

My phone is stuck on the Apple or Samsung logo, is this caused by the battery?

A faulty mobile phone battery is often (but not the only) cause of your phone only booting to the Apple or Samsung logo and not going any further. This can be tested with a new battery and is easily repaired with installed a new mobile phone battery,

How do I know when to replace my phone's battery?

Your phone will give you signs that its no longer preforming at its maximum capacity. Common symptoms may include

  • A service warning under the battery settings in the settings app.
  • The phone no longer powering on or charging
  • The phone battery no longer holding a charge or holding a reduced charged compared to when it was new
  • The phone battery quickly discharging or limited use of the device
  • The battery health on iPhones around or below 80%, found under the battery settings
  • Charging cycle counts over 500

My phone won't turn on, is it the battery?

My phone is running slow, will a new battery fix that?

Manufactures may slow the performance of your mobile phone to enhance to ensure reliable performance and prevent shutdowns on older phones. If you have an older phone that is in good shape, you may be able to increase performance slightly by replacing your battery.

Is it worth replacing my phone battery?

Whilst the pricing will vary depending on the device, it if often much cheaper to replace the battery on an otherwise functional mobile phone than to replace the whole phone or purchase a brand new mobile phone.

My battery isn't removable, can it still be replaced?

Most modern mobile phones are now designed without user removable batteries. However this does not meant they cannot be removed by a professional. Most phone batteries can be removed and replaced when they reach the end of their life or are faulty.

Do I need to make an appointment?

There is no need to make a booking. Just pop in during out open hours and allow 2 hours for your repair. You can wait in-store, visit one our the many local cafes in New Brighton or pop back once its ready to collect. Check out our opening hours.

We offer a hassle-free 90-day warranty on all parts. Let us know if you are experiencing any issues, and we’ll be happy to help out.

Will my broken parts be recycled?

Mobile phone parts can contain harmful and dangerous materials as well as many reusable materials such as metals and glass. We use local recyclers to ensure materials from phone batteries, mobile screens and electronic devices are repurposed and hazardous materials disposed of properly.
